CV rear driveshaft and SYE?
okay so im in the process of looking for a cherokee, and im definitely going to lift it more than 4.5 inches, but when i look at lift kits online they require a new CV rear driveshaft and a slip yoke eliminator kit. thats fine with me except, that on rough country.com it says that the CV rear driveshaft doesn't work on 6 cylinder automatic cherokees, yet on other websites it doesn't mention that at all, so if anyone could give me some input on the situation that would be great.

go to ironrockoffroad.com and get their kit for $200 it comes with an sye kit and a 2piece driveshaft. will work fine with any transmision. i dont know why rc says that on their site. i mean the rear driveshaft is coming out of the same transfercase on an automatic or manual or 4cylinder or 6cylinder.

i was wondering if you can do the SYE kit install while the t-case is still in the jeep. the instructions say to take out the t-case, but i dont want to. i would have to remove my crossmember and i have a long arm kit attached to it so i don't want to do that. just want to know if there is any drawbacks of doing it while the t-case is still in the jeep? also i have a front driveshaft out of a Cherokee that is 32" collapsed and 35" extended, but that is too short, i need one that is 34" collapsed and at least 36" long extended. any ideas if i can get one out of the junk yard that is 34 inches long?
