Cutting rear fenders

Hey i wondering what is the proper method to trim the rear fender can i follow right beneath the lip above the bolt holes or do i need to use the cut and fold method.

I cut and folded mine and it turned our great. Make a lot of cuts and be sure to not cut the welds or go above them cuz the fender can seperate. Then you just use a rubber mallet or hammer and fold it under. Good luck.

You could use a heat gun to heat the paint up and that may help it from not cracking that much. I did nothing to mine and did have some paint chipping. Plus you will have exposed metal since you are cutting the metal and will need to paint that. After I was done I masked the area off and painted it with spray touch-up paint that I got from the dealer and regular black spray paint.

I thought I'd throw in my experience cutting/trimming fenders, I ALWAYS lay down masking tape and use it as a template, just cut along the edge of the tape. I like doing it this way because you can get the lines matched up a LOT better than just eyeballing it, if you take your time it can actually turn out looking pretty good, good luck man
