I'm not. I didn't really understand what the guy meant (no offense) but I'm curious what other gauges ppl run and possibly pics of their set up.

are you talkin like actual useful gauges? like water temp, battery, oil pressure, air/fuel, tach? Otherwise those reverse glow and white face gauges are about all there really are short of using aluminum to build one.

Im probably going to be putting an autometer or sunpro Water temp gauge, a oil pressure gauge and maybe a battery gauge in a piller pod b/c my stock ones from 86 dont exactly show me the truth. im also putting an air/fuel gauge underneath my stock clock. ill get pics up after this weekend which is when ill be putting the AFR gauge in.

I actually made a set of overlays a while back. I took the original gauge faces and I scanned them, then I hit the negative button so it made them into white faces. and I put "cherokee Sport" in racing type font down by where the needle sits on the pin. I printed them out and taped them to the existing faces. It was pretty cool and completely accurate. I used them up until I did my cluster swap.

Oh, I want to put a tranny temp gauge in my A pillar lol

You are correct actual useful gauges.

ooooo i forgot tranny temp gauge.

if you have the stock clock area, im putting a small air fuel ratio gauge in there. then going to buy a "universal" a piller triplet gauge set for the front piller. havent decided what ima put in there. but all of them are "easy" to wire up.

and i might steal that idea for overlays. everything is so black in there as it is.

Nice, I want to get a stock clock out of an XJ at the salvage yard. I've only seen one and it was on an 86.... If your Jeep has the stupid gauge cluster with the giant fuel gauge and dummy lights, I may still have the .JPG of the overlays if you want it.
