Cussing up a storm over motor mounts
ah yea something like that
Ironmanandy: thats pretty ballsy to do zero tolerance fit with the factory nominal spec. American companies are known to produce and ship everything from lower to upper spec limit without a 2nd thought, even some just outside the limits if no one notices. Unlike Jap companies who try very hard to hit nominal on everything, hench their reliability and quality. Guess you guys shoot for quality the right way.
Either way, Love your products and have been meaning on stop by your shop but been too busy with work to head out that way during standard work hrs.

I know that a zero tolerance fit will perform better. Period. I know most folks that install parts are not professionals.... Honestly there is no unit of measure for a professional.... It does not hurt my feelings at all when I get angry phone calls about parts being so hard to install. It actually makes me feel a little better knowing that they will not be coming back out for a long time because they will last.
We actually make the bushings on our axle on of the track bar around 50 thou larger than the 1.600 factory spec. The bushing sleeve itself is 1.600 so you have to almost press the track bar up into the mount. This puts additional pre-load on the bushings from all directions making them last way longer.
Bushings with no or little pre load are junk from the get go. Just food for thought.
I again am sorry that some of yall spent up to 7 hours installing the mounts. I hope others see this in the future and note to NOT tighten one side down and then go to the other.
Always leave everything finger tight until the installation is complete.
Thanks again for keeping me on my toes guys!

I dont know how you made both fit. The motor mounts lift the engine 1" and caused my x-member not to line up with a 1" tcase drop, it was off like .75-1" aligning the holes to thread the bolts. Might be different with the AW4 or something but you shouldnt need both since both do the same job

I have Ironman's mounts, I knew it lifted the motor but forgot how much since its been so long (learn about them on local 4x4 sites) since Ive installed them and had zero issues or thoughts since then. Had to remove the tcase drop because the x-member was too far forward to get the bolts in on both sides. May be an AX15 x-member thing or something else idk. But vibes did go away and all it well. Kinda wished you could see the cool anvils on the mounts when installed but they are hidden

Anybody have experience with IRO's motor mounts? I was just browsing around and found these. I never even knew they made motor mounts.
