I've been thinking of a front receiver as an alternative to tow hooks. Are Curt Receivers any good, do they tie into the frame well enough? I've seen them as low as $115 shipped. I'm mostly sick of looking for tie points for the canoe, but I could conceivably go somewhere that that would require me to have tow points. http://www.thehitchstore.com/class-i...ch-p-2057.html

I picked up a front receiver for mine. Easy install, uses the sway bar mounts and you drill 2 holes to secure the front half.

Trim the air dam if you have it.

Spent approx $125 on it. Forget the brand.
