Default Cruise wont work under 37mph

What could cause this to happen? Leaky vacuum line somewhere? Or is this normal?

I dont use cruise that much, but mine doesnt cruise under 40. Anything over 40, it will. Pretty sure its normal.

Ya, I think it's programed that way. My XJ doesn't allow, but the V-Dub allows you to set cruise at any speed. Works really good where the cops sit on those 25mph roads. Just set the cruise @ 25 and go...

Ive never had a vehicle that would accept cruise at low speeds. Most wont kick in till about 40. At 37 your most likely in traffic..shouldnt use cruise in traffic anyway.

You expect it to?

Cruise control working down below 40mph is uncommon. Working down to 30mph is rare!

The general idea behind cruise is to support steady-state cruising on freeways and expressways - I don't think I use it below 45mph in my wife's car (I've never used it in my 88 - it don't work. I just haven't gotten around to stripping it totally yet.)

I did expect it to. I have 2 other vehicles that both work at 25. But I guess it's normal for a jeep. I was just making sure I didn't have a vacuum leak mostly. Thanks for all the replies
