I can't seem to find any consistent info on getting my cruise to work. its a 93 4.0. On the other hand all the alarm crap is unhooked ill get a pic up in a couple min and ideas on hooking it back up Thanks a ton guys

Buddy of mine had an XJ and cruise didn't work for 2 years, even took it to dealership and they replaced the steering wheel switches and still didn't work. Not long ago I had him reset his computer by for another issue, and whammo, cruise control was back and working like a champ.

Just remove your battery cables from the battery and touch them together to for about 15 sec to clear the computer. Reconnect like normal and give it a shot. May not be the issue, but it's a quick and free place to start.

 

isn't there some specific way to do this ie turn the ignition on, lights on, lights off, and turn off ignition?
