Well hit the cruise at 70 mph and it took off, wouldn't shut off till the needle hit it's limit and then the engine started knocking, added a bottle of oil and the knock went away but the oil pressure is almost non existent, y'all ever had this happen?

 

I have a 97 cherokee and my cruise did the same thing but I just pulled over and just disconnected the cable going from the CC to the throttle body. But from what I have read its either a vac leak or the brake light switch on the pedal causing the problem. I'm going to look into fixing it today or tomorrow so I'll let you know what I find.
