Default cruise control problems

lately my cruise control stopped working
it's done this before, it'll work every now and then and then stop working sometimes
i've tried messing with the switch and the button but nothing works
any ideas as to whats wrong with it? do you think it's a wiring problem or a fuse or something of that nature?

May be a leaking vacuum line. Look at those while you are under the hood.

i know for a fact that my exhaust manifold is cracked, as far as vacuum lines go i think they're all ok but i'm not 100% positive.

Just think it would be worth looking at. Many will look great but be cracked right where they slip over the little pipe that sticks out of the unit they feed. Just think Jessy needs her cruise.

Well it really is the tire diameter. But a lift means new larger tires so one plays into the other. Put stock tires back on at any height and your unaltered speedo returns to reading correctly again.

Doh thanks for clearing that up blue..I always just assume lift means larger tires too and forget to mention that..

Just read the numbers on the side of your tires. That number set will confirm or deny the OEM size for you.

Complete Newbie here, to jeep and the forum. Ridden a big honda road bike and driven Aussie ford for years. Just bough a 94 cherokee limited and I find that the cruise control will not stay on. If I hold the button in it works, but as soon as I release the button, it stops working? Any guides for me out there. BTW 64 YO Aussie Navy Vietnam Vet here.
