I removed my front bumper to install my tow hooks from C4x4 and unplugged the little sphere thingy while taking it off. I placed the bumper back on and realized that when I tried to turn on my AC you would hear the noise but it would not work and I was like wtf?
Realized I did not plug in the magical vacuum sphere. I plugged it in and the AC works perfectly now, but my cruise control still does not? The green cruise light is on, but does not work. Is there another vacuum line or something that I am missing?

If I recall theres a vacuum supply to the cruise control govener and another vacuum line that goes from there inside a wire bundle to your brake pedal. It ends at a bleed-off valve, so if you hit the brakes, the cruise disconnects. Trace those two lines and check for leaks

On my '98 there is a vaccum control thing next to the battery on the fender. My cruise control was doing the same thing, and I found my line was cracked near the battery. I stuck a new piece of vaccum line over it making a coupling and problem fixed. Check the lines... good luck!

Ok so I checked the connections to the canister and everything is good with no cracks. My cruise control used to work before this, and my green CRUISE light still turns on, but the pedal does nothing and I have no cruise.
I checked the connections by the passenger fender and there is a T type of connection correct? I only have two hoses, as the top of the T has a plug on top. One goes to the canister under the bumper, and the other goes around the back of the firewall. Can anyone with an XJ with cruise control take a picture of this to see if my T connector is wrong or missing a hose?

Here I took some pictures and relocated the vacuum canister.
This picture is of the said "T" connector. Does it look right with that cap at the top?

This is of where I relocated the canister and checked the hose. No cracks.

These are the three lines that I checked on the intake and all three are there and plugged in.

I also tried lifting the brake while pressing set on the cruise control, but the light is just on, no cruise is working.

Ok bair with me. I just got a computer yesterday. Have posted on my phone before this. I dont know how to post up a pick yet. But from looking at my jeep and at the last pick. Were the plug is on that T. On my 99 it goes to that vacuum odd thing just closer to the head lights. On mine it plug's in right accost from the weir the weirs do. Sorry I thought posting a pick would be simple but I haven't used a computer in at least 10 years. Hope i helped.
Well I cant post a pick but i looked at those ones and looked at my 99 sport and like i said the top of the T goes into the vacuum thing right next to it. I guess you can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink.

When the ball wasn't hooked up I had no A/C. I hooked up the ball and I have A/C again but no cruise even though the light turns on. As for the lines, there is only the line to the t connector, and from there to the ball I am thinking?
