Default cruise control and clutch switch

Hello everyone. I am trying to troubleshoot my cruise control and have several questions for the electrical junkies out there. It recently occured to me that I start my jeep without pressing in the clutch and that may be the reason my cruise control is not working. I have a 90 xj with a 4.0 and a 5 speed. My questions are these: do jeeps even have a clutch starter cutout? I checked the switch itself and it is functioning as advertised, and all the wiring in the general area seems to be intact. I am assuming there is a relay somewhere in the system. Where would I locate said relay? There are two blue/white wires coming off the clutch switch, one of them is connected to a ground somewhere. Should this wire be grounded, and where do these wires end up? (I'm not interested in tearing apart 20 year old electrical tape around wire bundles if I don't have to). Anyone have a wiring diagram for the cruise control system? (no I don't have a haynes manual, they make life too easy). Any help would be appreciated.

I also wondered the same. I have an 89 I6 5 speed and it'll start with no clutch. As far as the cc, checked every vac line, good. Vacuum supply, good. Harness from module to servo is good. Clutch and brake switches good. Speed sensor and control switch and related wiring is good. Diaphram in the servo is good as is the vac vent switch. I checked both fuses (block and inline), good. Does ANYONE have any electrical test values for the servo or module? Eg. how many ohms @ pin so and so or an internal diagram for the servo?
