Crossbar stuck

Crossbar stuck
The button that allows me to move my crossbar on the roof rails is stuck and won't let the bar slide on one side. I hit it with some pb blaster and gave it a couple of whacks with a mallet to try and get it to work, but no go. One end of the button is stuck out where the other three sit flush. Any idea how to get this one working again?
