Working on a replacement rubber isolator for my '99.

Actual dims for the rubber block are: 1 1/2" x 1 9/16" x 2 1/4".

Hole is 14 MM.

The hole in mine became oblong too. I drilled out the four pins that hold the metal cage to the plate, flipped the rubber isolater upside down, and use 1/4" bolts in the drilled out holes. The hole was worn on the bottom but the top was fine so flipping it has worked so far (a couple weeks).

Have you tried getting your 52058884 part here?

Expensive to ship, but they show it as available.

That 52058884 isolator is for a 1996 XJ. Won't work on a '97+.

If you can find a good muffler shop maybe they could weld it back on the exhaust pipe.

I discovered that the hanger was broke off of the pipe on my ZJ when I bought it. I jacked the pipe up & gas welded it back together. It should be easy for a muffler shop to mig weld that back on.

I used this on my 99 when the original broke off......
If memory serves me correctly, I welded a short piece of round stock on it to extend it a bit.....

Can anyone confirm that this ebay item will replace the rubber isolator portion of the forward exhaust mount? Sure looks like it, but their description is terrible.

That isolator on ebay is for a mount up to 1996.

What year do you have?

Yeah, mines a '97. Thanks for the info guys, always appreciated. The steel bracket plate is fine, just trying to replace the "rubber" isolator block which is basically falling apart/disintegrating from oil/heat etc. Nothing that's mission critical at the moment just another item on the never ending to-do list.

I ended up making my own rubber isolator.

Here's a pic of it:

Yes, that's exactly what I'm looking to do, CCKen. Did you make the isolator?
