Default Crazy Transmission Issue

Thanks for letting me into the site.
So here it is, have a 98, 2 wheel drive I-6 Automatic. In park will only rev up to about 2700. No reverse. In neutral it goes forward unless turned off then it is actually neutral. Drive does just what it is supposed to do.
I have done a fluid change, new filter, removed and cleaned the NSS. Fluid was very dark but did not smell burnt.
The jeep is throwing P0500 and P0705.
Anyone have a clue what is going on with this thing?
Thanks!

First of all, welcome.

Your Jeep is throwing codes at you. Might be a good place to start.
You sure its P0705?

Click and scroll up in page

The things that I linked to ALL came on the first page from Google when typed in your issue with codes...just saying. And doing a search here would also have come up with the last two links. Search is your friend. Wondering how you can be searching "for days" on this and not have something to go on. Maybe my Google is better.
Anyway, I gave you a start.Good luck with it.

Yes you did, I did say thank you for that.
I figured stating I made sure the fluid was full and took off the NSS cleaned it might have been a clue that search was my friend. Those are the 2 things search showed were culprits for those codes.
Now in those links no where did I see anything about my biggest problem and that being no reverse and the Jeep going forward when I am in neutral. In my search I found a few threads where people had those same problems but you know what none of them had a solution. So I asked hoping that someone had it, fixed it and could say what it was.
Thank you again for taking your time to use your superior Google and search for codes I just posted to give the full story of what I had done and appear to have nothing to do with my major issue. You are OK in my book.
