Default Crazy noise from under the car

I have a 91 xj base with the np231. Uh where do i start? When I brake really hard it sounds and feels like im going over rumble strips or something. The front drive shaft is lose or something. It shakes and makes noise when I am coasting and sometimes breaking. I felt a lot of play when I shook the shaft. Is the up in the tcase bad? And finally, when ever im in 4x4 and I try to turn i feel this weird popping/jumping from the tcase. I think it might be the chain.... Anyways all these probs get worst the more I drive it. please help
