Default Crap im screwed!!!

I have an 89 cherokee with the 4.0. I recently installed a cold air intake and now I have a massive oil leak???? All of the vaccum lines are connected and the breather lines are connected. I checked my oil and it looked like there was a little ice chunks at the bottom of the dipstick. Head gasket?????

Is ur oil milky (creamy) looking? What do u mean by ice chunks? was it ice or just junk in the oil?

I don't know how your headgasket would cause oil to get chunky. It usually turns it into a white milky sludge...?

It might if the PCV isn't hooked up right.

If it is a headgasket and the oil and water seperate the water will sit at the bottom of the pan. Depending on where he lives, it might be possible to have that water freeze.

Sounds like if it has ice in the oil then you neglected to put anti freeze in it as well. Sounds like a mess to me and the coldair intake would cause this.

I just flushed and installed a whole new coolant system, My antifreeze tested good to -50 so I don't understand why it froze either.

I'm gonna put the stock airbox back on and see if things change I guess. I'm 2 seconds from just putting a bullet in it. I bought this XJ for $300 and probly put $1000 in it not including the time it took. I just made an appointment for a sticker too!!! It's just on thing after another.

I wouldnt bother putting stock airbox back on. shouldnt make a differance.

Has your coolent level droped any? or any more sluge in oil after oil change?

If you dont drive verry far on a daily basis, so that the engine doesnt hit or maintain a max temp for verry long. Condensation in the crankcase can cause similar symptoms of a head gasket. A block tester can usually give you a definitive answer, by testing the cooling system for combustion gases.
