Default Cranks but wont start in Cold Temps

Hi, new here just trying to get some advice on an issue with my 1995 jeep Cherokee 4.0 L6.
In May, I was having some weird acceleration issues and so I replaced my Distributor, Distributor cap, spark plugs, wires, Fuel filter and the car seemed to be running fine.

One morning, I go to start the car and all it does is cranks but no start. The local repair had my PCM and relay replaced The car was able to make it 1200 miles to Wyoming the week after. Once in Wy, It would spend the summer sometimes running and sometimes not. I had the Ignition Coil and the CPS replaced.

Once it began getting cold during fall, I noticed that the jeep wouldn't start in weather below 30 degrees. I was able to get myself to Washington for my Winter employment and that where I am now. I live in the mountains and the car is back to cranking but no spark every day since I got here. I had it towed into town where it started up right away and the mechanic couldn't find an issue with it. He noticed that the Thermostat might be stuck open and that the engine was running colder then it should be.

I drove it home and the next day had to go back into town. As I was driving the engine cut out completely and I had to get it towed back to my house where it will not start. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I should do next? I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello... I empathize with you, and so do some others. Check out the thread links I'm providing & be sure to update your thread with any diagnostics, repairs or results, good or bad. Thanks.

There are others, I'm sure. I'm currently researching "starter circuit", along with plans to go back to the basics.

Its like defeating the purpose of being somewhere for winter work, if you're spending your cash on towing & mechanic bills. I feel for ya - sincerely.

Take Care.

Thanks for the info. I bought myself a Spark plug tester, and a compression tester to make sure its not a cylinder. It needs an oil change but it wont start.

Invest time into reading these Search Links
Search Term: PCM Capacitor

Its the direction I'm leaning in.

Just a thought, I often have luck finding temperature related failures with two low-tech pieces of equipment: A can of freeze-spray (Radio shack) and a hair dryer (wife).
If it won't start in the cold, take the hair dryer and warm up the PCM. Does it start? Next the CPS, work your way through the electronics.
Once you find it, cool the part back off with the freeze spray. If it won't start again, you've confirmed the bad part.
