Default Crank no start/spark

I know I know cps but I replaced it haha.

2000 xj sport 4 door 4x4

So back story, I arrived at home with low fuel ( fuel light on ) just fine. Jeep stutters now and them at idle I chalked that up to the single hole injectors. Anyway Jeep would not start the next morning I assumed it was out of fuel so I put some fuel and nope. Checked for fuel at the rail and no fuel so I replaced it with a genuine Bosch pump now I have fuel woohoo let’s start driving again. The Jeep has other plans. Still no start so I assumed it was cps and ordered a new one installed and same thing. The cps was not oem, stupid move I know. I removed coil pack to check for spark and nothing. At a bit of a loss now so I ordered a genuine mopar cps and it’ll be here in a couple days.

Are there any other bs parts that’ll cause a no spark? Oh and the Motor is completely rebuilt. Aside from crank and rods. The were fine. Clearwater head blah blah. It’s been built right.

neutral safety switch does it on my 1996 XJ. Plenty of battery, lights and radio on, but turn the key and nothing. Put it in neutral and it fires right up. May not be what yours is doing but it's super easy to check.

My bad, I thought it wasn't cranking or starting... If it's cranking then it's not a neutral safety switch

What's your pressure reading at the rails?

i haven’t tested actual pressure at the rail but injectors are firing and dispersing fuel. Plugs are wet when pulled. I might have narrowed it down but not 100 yet. I think it may be the coil pack. I have 11.7 volts going into the pack on the green/orange wire but no spark. I’m going to search now and see if I can find what I’m supposed to have and where before asking.

Pretty sure I narrowed it down to the coil pack. I have 11v from green/orange accross all 3 terminals with no spark so I’m pretty sure the pack is the problem.

Yes. Correct battery charge is 12.66V.

12.1V represents ~10% charge. Not saying that is your problem for sure, but in older vehicles, cranking robs all the current, not enough for spark

Under cranking load the ECM would probably see under 11V and may not allow your coil to trigger (ECM provides coil earth)
