Exclamation Crank, No start, Sounds out of time

Ok so i go to start my jeep today and it won't start. Cranks just fine, catches like it wants to start, then coughs n dies out. sounds as if it's out of time.

It did this to me the other day, I suspected bad CPS, so i used my noid lights to check injector pulse (CPS controls Fuel injection pulse). Found that CPS had gone bad, replaced.

Now it's doin it again. Checked injector pulse again, fine. Checked spark, fine.
I dunno what the hell is wrong with my heep...help!

cam position sensor is integral part of the distributor, non serviceable

I pulled my plugs again to check time, they look fuel soaked, so lettin it sit for a bit
then gonna try it again

Notice how I'm the only one who tried to help? Interesting.

Read post #4 and learn how wrong you are.

In 1998 they were still using a distributor, so yes your is indeed
serviceable.

But glad you got it fixed anyway.

hes not wrong hes been misinformed,it is actually a non servisable part all you can do is replace it, and the cam sensor times injector pulse to spark firing time

I just didn't take the time to consider your idea because I knew that wasn't the issue

So hey, I didn't listen anyway!

You knew it wasn't the issue, but you still felt the need to post a "help me" thread?

So what if I felt the need to post a thread, I was temporarily stumped.

Anyway have a good day sir
