Brand new fuel pump but there was a loud hissing coming from the rear
Crank position sensor? I've got to get this damn thing running
When I turn the key I don't hear the fuel system prep
Game plan? This sucks

By design, when you turn the key to the ON position (not fully to the start), you should hear the fuel pump energize and run for about two seconds.
If you do not hear that, you have a problem with the fuel pump circuit.
A way to verify is with a fuel pressure gauge. You need about 31 psi of fuel pressure to start the 1993 4.0 engine.
And yes, please do share the brand of fuel pump you bought. I hope it is not an Airtex. IMHO, they have big time reliability problems for fuel pumps for the 4.0 engine.

Yes turn the key and I hear nothing. So you don't think it's the fuel pump?
I don't have the paper work handy I don't know what brand

Yours still have the ballast resistor on the firewall? Try wiring a jumper across it.
It's only there for noise reduction. When pumps begin to fail they pull excessive current, the ballast resistor fails shortly thereafter.

Are you saying when you bypass the resistor, it blows the fuse? If so, try it with the fuel pump disconnected? If it still draws too much current then you can suspect the wiring. Just a thought.

the fuel pump is an airtex which is very concerning. still under warranty but I don't think it's the pump
after spraying starting fluid in the intake it still didn't start. I replaced the cap and wires so we're getting spark
and I replaced the crank position sensor. all my relays are clicking.
I don't know what else to try
