ive had my xj for almost a year and my girls been driving it with a cracked exhaust manifold the whole time it sounds like a total pile of shmit loud as hell can this damage the engine?? how do i check for damage?? i am going to order a header for it but i dont want to waste money on a header if the motor is already damaged where is the cheapest place to buy a header ??

When I had my 92 XJ Iput on a RuggedRidge header.They make three versions black painted,stainless steele,and polished stainless steele.I ordered them on line at jeepparts.com.I had the black painted (I really wanted the stainless one).With shiping it was under 200 bucks.

182k on the clock and who knows how long its been cracked we bought it that way almost a year ago is there any way to make sure ?? compression test?? it sputters when you fire it up but it runs fine while running and it passed smog with a broken manifold??
