Default Cracked Crank Burned Engine (New Pic)

If you look closely on the crank (engine side) you will see a jagged perpendicular crack running up right by the oil droplet hanging off the flange. See picture:

Here's a few concerns:

1) Fan shroud keeps hitting my front main engine fan at high rpms. Have replaced 2 so far.
2) Cam lobes look worn
3) Crankshaft looks to have a crack in between the flange and the end of the crank.
4) Slight hesitation when in idle
5) A intermittent, slight clacking noise is audible at times (Sounds like diesel engine)

Anyone have experience with this? I took these pictures when I had my rear main seal replaced. I'm curious as to how those marks appeared on my camshaft bearing and of course the ominous looking crack between the flanged ends of my crank.

Some of the others guys will need to chime in on those internal engine concerns you have. But as for the fan hitting the shroud, I would say to check your motor and transmission mounts. If those are bad it can cause the motor to shift around under heavy acceleration.

Changing motor mounts sounds like a daunting task, but it's actually really easy. Just did mine a few months ago when replacing my exhaust header.

oh dang. Didn't see the crack in your other thread but now I do. I'd say, start saving for a new engine soon. Or rebuild that one before that crank blows up.
