You would be better off with a 350 chevy in all honesty. its very easy to have a n/a 350 with a carb ,making 425 hp thats twice the horse of the i6.
as i was posting that post i was thinking about how much money that would be and its not worth it a 350 sounds more resonable and should fit in the engine bay with some nicley made mounts

actually the aw4 is a variation of the automatic in supras if im not mistaken you can take the supra bellhousing off the automatic and mate it to the cherokee transmission, although it would be a huge money you cannot tell me a sbc with 425 hp is making twice as much as a twin turbo supra.... unless that supra was built by morons.http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho....php?p=3362448

and most likely wouldnt have to swap bellhousings out. and btw i agree with the thread i posted link to bc the rpms you would need with that engine would not be suitable for anything except mudding and sand wich are both fun but still.

you would have no low end torque which is what you want for a jeep, but when boost kicks in hold on

plain and simple it would be cool alot of work but the low end torque would not be there its not lack of torque is the power band and torque curve that are different than a sbc or any v8 for that matter the torque would be higher with a turbo and you would need higher gearing to use it effectively

For 1 you dont want twin turbo.. you want 1 big one.. and yes i can put a supra engine in your jeep... We just sold 2 supras.... your looking at 1500 labor + all parts... :} would basicly need a whole front clip with everything...

so changing the turbos to spool faster wouldn't change the torque.
