Default Cost for new rocjker panels and floor pans 95 XJ

I need to replace both rocker panels and front floor pans on my 95 Cherokee. I do not have time to repair this myself. In a few years when I retire, maybe I wouild do it but the car won't pass inspection with rotted floor and rockers. I work 60 hrs a week and have no time.
Does anyone know what this should cost? I went to one body shop and he wouldn't even give me a price. Seems like these guys only want collision work becasue they get paid by insurance claims.

I really don't want to junk the Jeep. It only has 110,000 original miles, beside which, I really like the Jeep and probably will never have a vehicle like it ever again.

It would be cheaper to get a good clean body and have your running gear swapped into the new body than to have a body shop do the repairs to your Cherokees floor and rockers.
Have you thought of finding a friend with fab skills to repair the rot in your Cherokee for you? Depending on how bad it is you could probably get it done for a lot less than a shop.

Sounds like your in between a rock and a rusty place. Its gonna be a few thousand. My rockers are bad as well, so a few years ago i called a local body shop and coerced a quote sight unseen. He said just to replace the rockers $1500, but i wasn't gonna spend that much on stock replacements. I do plan on going with tubing rockers instead. Good luck with it.

I just finished doing my floors and rockers with sheet metal I picked up for free. I used the skins from dryers and washers, cut the rust out, and riveted the new metal in. Took about a year, a little at a time. I needed to drive the thing each day, so I was careful to keep it driveable. Pain in the butt, but it was worth the trouble. My .02

I replaced my drivers side rocker and both front floor pans 2 weeks ago. I went to a small body shop (but recommended) and got all 3 replaced for $300 CASH out the door including painting the rocker. I would look around for a small body shop, the one I went to was on the guys property just a seperate garage in a small town, but he had been doing body work for almost 30 years. I would also look on local forums, my buddy who recommended the shop to me heard about it on a car forum and took his car there a few years ago.

There is a guy on Amazon selling rockers for $49 bucks a PAIR with FREE shipping!!!!! I bought mine from him this summer, GREAT buy!!!!!

As for floor panels, there are numerous places to buy them. Last spring I checked with Mopar and they had the complete floor pan, passenger area for $179 plus shipping but someone since said they are out. You can find individual pans all over the place for about $85 each.

If you figure $50 for rockers and another $200 on the pans, plus $300 for a welder, youll have $550 into the whole job which isnt too bad.

The guy at the body shop down the street from me here in a small farm town quoted me 900.00 labor plus parts to do the rockers on both sides and patch the floors drivers and passengers front. He said it would be a weeks worth of work ...hell I can buy a great welder and the panels and do it myself win win for me I get a much needed welder and I can use for all my projects ..
