In a rush (first mistake) I went online and bought much needed O2 sensors from Rock Auto for my daughters '99. Problem is, I got a bit confused using the site and now that SHE finally has time for me to install them, I can't remember if I ordered them for a '00 (her first XJ) or her current '99. For all I know, they are the same, flame on if need be, but any help is much appreciated. She's a 19 y/o college kid who goes to school, works and parties, so trying to gets this vehicles stationary is tough, lol.
Thanks in advance!
Butch
The ones I have in hand are:
23151 and 23099. And I don't remember which is front and rear...ugh

There are two NTK part numbers for upstream on rockauto.
23151 Upstream
23506 Upstream
23099 Downstream
23151 Upstream
23506 Upstream
23099 Downstream

Crap. Well thanks, lol. When I got under there awhile back, I saw two. And thought I'd recalled the 4.0's having either 2 or 4 O2 sensors, not 3...
Well, I'll put these 2 in for now, order the third and install it the next opportunity the XJ isn't in motion.
Again, thank you very much for your time and help! Much appreciated!

It only has two O2 sensors. The ones you have should work fine but if for some reason it doesn't run right after installing them then I'd suspect the front O2 sensor should be the other part number.

Ok, phew, I'm going in, wish me luck! just finished taking the 1 year old dishwasher apart and fixing that. All THOSE sensors don't like the muck build up and wanted a tech. Sometimes, I REALLY hate technology... my grandmothers dishwasher was over 25 years old, washed better and still worked when she passed. Who cares you could hear it from outside? lol

My O2 research showed the sensors on my 2001 were the same physical sensor for all four of my positions, the different part numbers were about the length of the wires attached. I believe you will be fine as long the wire reaches.
