Also worth noting, if you do decide to upgrade the coil, for a 99 you will also need the wiring adaptor, since the coil plug changed in 97, but all the aftermarket "upgrade" coils use the old style plug (or you can go to the junkyard and cut a plug off of a 91-96). http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ac...model/cherokee
