My old 4x4 chevy pickups had the hard vinyl floor covers, and where great to go hunting and out in the woods wheelin, it was great to not have to worry about the carpet.
My newwer chevy 4x4 has carpet and my 87 xj has carpet also, I would rather have vinyl, but I guess they dont sell good with vinyl, people now a days are more into looks than function!

 

I took mine to 115 according to my GPS ill never do that again tho...

In my past life I built police and emergency vehicles. There was nothing really special about the XJs I worked on except the prisoner partition made the cab really really small. The xjs where however the only rigs that the MPs could not destroy. You can still buy push bumpers and prisoner partitions if you really had a wild hair.

 

In my town there still running a black 01 as an undercover that I see busting people on almost a daily basis!
