I do not believe my '97 has one. Would it be connected to the in/out heater coil hoses? Or is it off to the left or right? There is something to the left but doesn't look like the mechanism in the photo.

Hi. If you are still have this problem with filling the system; have you tried taking off the upper radiator hose at the water neck and back filling the hose and radiator end till it is full? It can make a mess so be prepared but if you're careful you can fill the block till coolant seeps up past the thermostat and fills the neck. Then put the hose on, clamp it and start it. You should build normal circulation. If it still boils over and doesn't change shut it off and see if the upper and lower radiator hoses are aprox the same temp. Extreme difference can be telling us there is a circulation issue or bad NEW stat.
