After doing the cluster swap, the gauge climbed almost to the red. Shut it off and began reading. Ordered new shroud, as it was MIA, and bought a new Hayden zj fan clutch. Installed new 180 thermostat with 1/8 holes, purged the system....gauge reads between the 210 and next white light line idling with hood down after 10 min. Took a temp reading at the housing, with the highest being 217, and 199 at the gauge sensor.

 

Make sure that clutch doesn't kiss the radiator, gets expensive, stocker works just fine.

 

Thanks...I checked after install.....got about 3/4" clearance.
