Coolant temp and oil pressure sensors
I just finished upgrading my 87 to an open cooling system. I also scored an instrument cluster with gauges instead of just the idiot lights. With the engine running the temp gauge never goes anywhere and the oil pressure needle shoots almost all the way to the other side of the gauge as soon as the engine is started. As far as I know, these sensors/sending units are original so I'm going to replace them. As I said, my stock setup used idiot lights. Do I need to buy different sensors to work with gauges vs. idiot lights.
Thanks.
Thanks.

You need different senders. The ones for gauges, not idiot lights.
