Default Coolant system flush

My heat has been pretty weak lately. It's a 2000 4.0 XJ. We had some freak warm weather in PA yesterday (65+) so I decided to flush the system and heater core.

Thanks to the many threads on this forum, I had zero issues, removed a good amount of junk from the heater core, radiator, and block and now have great heat and nice peace of mind.

Thanks guys!

Good job...just in time for winter. I live in eastern SD, and this morning we hit a low of -24F (actual temp, not wind chill)! Your 65F sounds great!

Now that the cooling system is clean and fresh properly mixed coolant is in, this time next year and each year thereafter do a quick drain/re-fill and chances of crud forming in the cooling system will be slim to none.

Good idea, however I don't think it will be "this time next year". This was a total fluke to get temps that warm in mid December. I'll have to make it my spring ritual.
