Coolant leak nightmare
Is it just me, or is the cooling system on the XJ rubbish? Virtually the only problems I've had on my '01 XJ have been coolant leaks. First, the rad had to be replaced at 40K, and I installed a new Mopar aluminium one. Then the freeze plugs started leaking. Next was the heater core. And now, at 70K, the rad has to replaced AGAIN. What's going on here?! My question is: can the pressure in the cooling system be too high? I would have thought the rad cap would prevent this, but what do I know?
