I have an 89 Cherokee. Just fixed my ac last night, so we drove it to town today. My electric fan wires are messed up, so I just put a switch on it, and run it while crawling. When driving it was fine.

So today I drove it out, went through a drive through place and when i parked to eat. I first saw a bit of steam by the overflow bottle, then steam just rolled out from under the hood. Some coolant also dripped out by the radiator.

The bottle was empty, so i put a few cups of water in it, then some coolant, after remembering I had a bottle in the back.

Started the truck back up, no leaks anywhere, but the temp still read hot.

now I'm letting it cool down all the way.

Think I'll be alright after it cools down, and i turn on the electric fan?

Let it cool down, then started it back up with the efan on. Quickly the temp gauge went up to the 260 Mark. So i cut it back off. When i felt of the overflow bottle however, it was still cold.
