Confused about dome light issues

Confused about dome light issues
O.K. I admit it I'm lost
when I open the passenger door the dome lights come on, mormal
but when I open all three other doors or the liftgate, no lights
at first I thought it was a problem with the door switch, but with the key in the ignition and the driver's door open the buzzer does annoy me but no light!
I xon't know where to start looking

Engine: 4.3L with headers and full 3" exhaust system
The switch for the tailgate is in the latch. Sometimes the wires fray and break where they go from the body to the tailgate.
Those other switches are probably dirty or corroded. You will have to pull them and check them out.
