OK now I'm trying to find out if their is a difference between the computer that comes on a 95 4.0L H.O and the one that comes with the normal 4.0L on a 95
If anyone has a 95 XJ with the normal 4.0 can you please post the number on the top of it so i can compare it to mine witch is the H.O. computer
The reason I'm asking is because i have the 4.OL H.O jeep and my motor blew and i replace it with a normal 4.0L and I'm having some problems with it shutting off while I'm driving specially when i goose it and it sound like it has a miss and i have replace the IACV,TPS,CPS,MAP sensor,Ignition coil, spark plugs, rotor cap, rotor. And i cant thing of anything else it could be so I'm trying to exhaust every option.

A lot of non ho and ho engines even of the same displacement have different firing orders, cam profiles, injector offsets, injector pulse width, spark advance, base timing, blah blah blah I would have do the research first not last, but any way changing the cam or distributor or even both might fix your issue. I really hope you didn't by these parts new. I have had problems with a car of the same year having different distributors, they had changed the #1 cylinder identification for the pcm.
