Common Radiator Leak? And Radiator for Manual AX15
Is this a common leak location for the radiator (passenger side)? I currently experience coolant pooling along this ridge and then overflowing down along the wall. I am confident the upper radiator hose is not leaking, as my finger/towel is completely dry when wiping underneath.
Also, I have a manual transmission which uses OEM # 52080115AC. RockAuto only carries the OEM radiator for an automatic transmission (# 52080104AC).
Does anyone have a decent source for OEM parts? I've found the 115AC radiator on sites on moparpartsgiant.com and similar but I've never used them before.
Yes, the plastic is a common area to fail. An automatic has an oil cooler for the transmission fluid. Other than that and having a different cap it will be a drop in replacement. Since you should replace the cap with a new radiator anyhow that won't be an issue.
Some on this forum have had problems with aftermarket radiators. Radiator repair shops can sometimes fix the brass ones. Some like to buy O.E. and some don't. The high end is Flex-a-lite. The low end is shipped straight from China on Amazon with Chinese glyphs on the box. There are a plethora of options between those two ends of the spectrum.
