So i was reading the cherokee chat and seen this tread: "You know your in a cherokee when...."

i seen these posts


people ask you if your jeep is a deisel..

you have a cracked exhaust manifold..replaced agian and again..

you automatically roll your freinds window down when they lite up a ciggarete because u know the windows only work on your side..

your belt squeels when u have your ac on, so u never use it.. y

you have death wobble and replace the u-joint only yo find out it was mudd in your rims..


Those fit me so well. Is that common for every one?

 

yes except for the smoking part. i dont let anyone smoke in my jeep and all my friends know that. the jeep has never been smoked in its whole life and never will be.

Ya, pretty much the common problems with XJ's.


Just don't get us wrong though, XJ's are are still Awesome and they're VERY reliable if properly maintained. With anything else, all vehicles have they're typical quirks. These are just typical to Cherokee's.

At least we all know about them here and know how to deal with the common issues accordingly. For me though, most of these quirks are just annoyances and not really problems.

IMO- To know your XJ, is to LOVE it, ya know?

I think of these as extra features not bugs! Wobble keeps you awake No sleeping when driving!

Window so them damn kids do not kill the motor, ( or stop your kindnapee from jumping out)

Desiel just to make you sound bigger then you really are.

Ac sweek to let you know that your wasting gas!

Yep Nice along with:

Oil Leaks that paint beautiful pictures in garage.

Rear lift gate won't open if you don't oil it regularly, oops it has been a while a since I oiled it, I use white lithium grease.

It takes at least four times to have it alligned and then the steering wheel needs to be straightened.

If gas cap is not tight check engine light comes on.

Backup lights work occasionally, but never when you are backing out of tight dark spot. I should clean my NSS.

Lastly, you know all this and buy another one.

 

The only damn thing i hate is the Bendex Brake System. hoping to convert this spring or summer.

 

Yea Im on that list for the Diesel sound but luckily for me everything else works...FOR NOW...lol...Tj
