Default comanche shackles on a xj how much lift?

i picked a set of comanche shackles today at the bone yard so im wondering how much lift it will give on average? and can they be hung from the factory xj shackles for even more lift? ive seen guys have other shackles hung from the stock xj ones. i got some teraflex 1 1/2" coil spacers for the front but there not in yet

i think it'll give ya 1 inch lift over stock.

2 inch shackle gives 1 inch of lift.

why do people do it?i geuss they could be welded together if you do it right but the amount of lift vs work proabably isnt worth it unless one is very bored and itching to fabricate im going to just swap em out tomorrow after i see what things look like after the front coil spacers are in

i've never heard of people doing this, maybe they want a ghetto redneck version of the teraflex revolver shackles.

sounds quite dangerous to me. maybe if it's only a field truck, but i still don't think it's a good idea. it can and probably will fold up and drop the driveshaft. not to mention, it will bend or break on a side load.

be safe. build it right.
