I have 95 XJ with 4L straight 6. During cold weather it's hard to start cranks but takes long time to get running. Live in central Florida so when I mean cold 40`s. One issue could be my fuel pump. Does not hold pressure in fuel rail. It will start in warm weather 60s 70s. When I do get it running it starts but long cranking.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Have you checked for fuel pressure at the rail?
You've already noticed it don't hold pressure at the rail but when it is running what's your active fuel pressure. Could have weak fuel pump, clogged/clogging filter sock on the bottom of the pump, could be time for a new fuel filter

The fuel mix is drastically influenced by the temp read by the sensor in the thermostat housing and you cant read it on your 95. Just for kicks...next cold morning disconnect the connector and try to start. If it starts easier then its reading warmer than it really is and needs to be replaced. It will set a cel light and code
