Question Cold start squeek and voltage drop?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I'm trying to figure out why my cherokee is doing this. I had my serpentine belt and alternator replaced at my local shop and after i got it back on a cold start my belt will squeek for a second. Also, when I have my heat on my rpm will surge to 1k, squeek, then my voltage will drop and come right back up. I'm guessing the surge is from my heat engaging? I also have a new battery. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Gotta have that belt tight! My '99 has to be adjusted tighter than what I'm used to. Pop the hood, if you can push down on the belt with your index finger a 1/2" or more, it's not tight enough.
