Cold Cherokee A/C just a myth?
I topped my AC off with refrigerant a year ago and its still blowing pretty cold. I also replaced the bearing and clutch faces & electro-mag coil with an ebay kit.

Ive heard so many people say theyre Jeeps run hot all the time, the AC never works, etc., but my 99 has never had an issue with either. Never overheated ONCE, and the only time the AC wasnt cold was when the compressor went and I had to pick up a new one. It was $120ish at the garage for them to charge it up and shes bitter cold as soon as I turn it on.

Judging by these posts, it looks like '97 and later generally gets colder than '96 and earlier.
It's harder to get a former R12 system to cool as well with 134A than one that was designed for 134A from the factory.
