Cold Air intake Q.

was there only one brand of CAI designed for a jeep? some guy is trying to tell me there was only one designed and it will only increase horsepower by 8+. any help would be great

no their are many CAI kits available for the xj today just research them

There are many kinds and you wont get 8hp, maybe 1 if your lucky.

+1 maybe one horse, and thats the truth. The intake system on the 4.0 Jeeps don't outflow the stock air cleaner setup, so all you'd be doing is putting money in something that doesn't need it. If you want to do any sort of intake you are much better off looking into either a snorkel kit or home made snorkel.

Honestly with the placement of most CAI's on these Jeeps you get more hot air than cooler air.
