Default "Cold" Air Intake

Does anyone actually have a true cold air intake. if so was there a difference from the stocker or typical under-the-hood ones....

My Homebrew cold air intake is entirely under the hood but pulls COLD directly through the grill and a BIG hole in the front firewall. It made a HUGE difference in my power, acceleration and MPG. Hydrolock has never been a problem, either. In fact, the only time my cone filter has gotten wet is when my POS stock radiator blew. The stock XJ airbox is a restrictive POS in my humble opinion.

I dont think any intake is "cold" air when the intake sits on top of the header........

the stock intake is plenty good for 95% of people. and theres no way a simple cone intake will make a "huge" difference in power.

I have an airraid on mine and it does improve power, but you have to listen to the wind tunnel under the hood.
