Default coil springs

i just looked at some pics from the cherokee photos and found one on the first page. it just had a new 6.5" rough country put in it. why do the coil springs bow in the middle toward the front. is that lower control arm ajustment? its on jack stands with out tires or any weight on it. why do they bow out?

Can you post a link to the picture so that we can see what you're referring to?

Look at the thread and in the right hand corner of the post there will be a number.. Tell us that number and maybe we can help you out. I looked on the first page of the stickied lift and tire setup thread and didn't see a 6.5" lift pic where you could see the coil well enough to see a bow.

is this the one you are talking about? If so you must have seen it at the bottom of the site where it posts random user pics from their photo albums.

In that pic, it looks like it would straighten out with the vehicle weight on it, and possibly due to the LCA's?

It doesn't have shocks installed either so it won't normally hang that low even with stands under the frame.

yes that was the pic sorry about the confusion. it just looks funky to me. even with shocks in, i don't think it would straighten out the coil but maybe so. it looks like the axel should roll back slightly. the reason i ask is it going with a 6.5" custom lift and was wondering what to do if i run into that problem. probably trial and error i guess. i just looked at it again there a jack under it maybe thats whats doing it to

at 6.5 you will probably have at least adjustable LCA's and should look into long arms or LCA drop brackets which will get your LCA's back at a decent angle in that pic it probably will straighten out because as the axle moves it doesnt go straight up and down it actually goes in an arch as it flexes and at ride height those coils will be straight
