Default Coil Spring Bumper Touching...

Well I think it is call the coil spring bumper not sure but when I jacked up my xj to check ball joints and such for DW I noticed this was on the side of the coil springs and not sure if this is normal or not.

It looks like that is happening because while you have it jacked up, the axle is at full droop.

If it's not normal ( I never looked at mine while it was jacked up yet) maybe you have shocks that are longer than stock.

It's probably no big deal, as long as it's not binding too tightly.

I can't tell in the picture but do you have the coil spring isolators in place still? That holds the spring centered unless you droop till the spring is loose.

It is not touching when it is on the ground I would say there is about 1/2" of room between both.

Did you center your axle after you lifted the Jeep?? Do you have an adjustable trackbar??

Did you extend your lower control arms appropriately?

I did not lift the jeep it is was lifted when I bought it around 6 weeks ago. I am pretty sure I do not have an adjustable trackbar how can I check for axle centered and if lca's were extended? I do not think the lca's were extended because that is what my tires hit when I turn to far or does this happen either way without any backspacing or spacers?

looks like you have aftermarket lcrs put up a pic of the top of the spring wher it goes to body you have a trac bar relocation bracket installed so you should be good there this a pic of thr bracket its on the pass side of the track bar cant see the other end where it bolts to drivers sideframe

From that picture it is hard to tell, it's very dark. I can't see the control arms at all, do you have a better (brighter) picture? And one of the control arms?

The trackbar adjustable end will be on the top of the trackbar.

If you have stock control arms with 5" of lift, that is more than likely your problem. Stock lower control arms are 15.75", for 5" of lift they should be 16.6"...Stock upper control arms are 15", for 5" of lift they should be 15.25" to get all the angles correct.
