how do you read the codes that flash when you do the ignition thing

You count the blinks. when it pauses it is going on to the next number. Turn the Key on-off-on-off-on or on-off-on-off-on-off-on-off-on, the number of on/off cycles was changed at some point, not sure when but my 93 was 5 and my 96 is 3.

its flashing 5 then 5 i guess this means i need a new tranny it doesnt want to shift unless i do it manualy any one have any ideas?

5 then 5 is 55 = end of codes. No codes stored.
If it doesn't want to shift unles you do it manually it sounds like it's the TCM.

I don't believe so because the Transmission Control Module is a separate part and controls its own functions.

i will give it a shot thanx for your input the TCM is alot cheaper than a new $1875 tranny

I believe there is an inline fuse and a regular fuse for the TCM. I'm sure someone who knows better on the location of those will tell you where they are.
