Transmission whine, sorry.
So today when I was driving up around peak to peak highway (All the trails are gone from there by the way.) which is about 8200 msl, my transmission started whining REALLY loud every time I was in second gear. The sound continued every time I was in second gear, even after I came back down to "normal" driving altitude, about 5000 msl. Is this just the result of high altitude after all the parts warmed up or is this a sign something is wrong? This whine wasn't quiet, it was roughly as loud as a crowded cafeteria (or restaurant).
Note about location for altitude reference (for coloradans) I was up near rollins pass. Anyone know of any open trails up near there? They closed down the trail between rollinsville and winter park.
edit: just took my jeep out driving, it is still making that noise. I also noticed some fluid on my skitplate right below my transmission. What would cause a leak?
