If the pedal feels the same and while depressed it moves on its own it is the throwout bearing and throwout fork. That is what happened to mine.
If the pedal feels mushy when this happens there is something else going on and we need more description

pull the cap off of the slave cylinder and have someone pump the clutch. If bubbles come up you have air in the line probably from a leak somewhere. In any case if you get bubbles coming up you can just keep adding more fluid to the clutch slave and pump it out. Mine leaks REALLY SLOW and I have to pump it every once in a while.

If you have a manual tranny, and have brake fluid from your clutch cylinder on your Fuse Box and carpet, You need to read this before it's too late, and learn how to effectively clean it out before irreversible damage occurs.

Agreed.. the other comment about making carpet black sounds like your clutch cylinder is leaking. Might be where you are having problems. Look under dash and if the fluid is leaking from the steel rod that goes into the back of the clutch master cylinder you could have a bad cylinder. Best of luck.
