clutch???
Hello all. Last weekend i replaced my clutch master cylinder. The jeep has worked great all week. Shifting perfect. Today, since i have a 4 cylinder, i have to down shift while going uphill. Downshifting to 3rd it just wouldn't go. Tried to go back to 4th, just a grinding noise. I pulled off to the side of the road, kept coasting and after stomping the pedal a bit i finally got second. This happened 3 more times on the way home. And it just didn't want to go into 4th at all.
I noticed that my pedal releases at the top end of its swing. Almost where the pedal stops.
Is this most likely something i messed up? Slave cylinder? Or just need a new clutch?
Any help is very appreciated.
