They are super easy to change you just have to be really careful not to smash the new bearings when your pressing in the new U-joint. After removing the old U-joints you basically just take the new U-joints and press them back in from the outside-in. I used a socket and a hammer it worked just fine. Just be careful not to smash the new bearings. If you need to put extra grease in them do it! It helps keep the bearings steady. I got duralast gold U-joints with a lifetime warranty from auto zone and they were really cheap and seem super strong. Good luck

These are the instructions from the Factory Service Manual (FSM). I'll scan the FSM if you need figures...

Removal:

Hoist/support front of Jeep on safety stands. Put scribe or chalk marks on the yokes at the transfer case. Place marks at pinion shaft and at each end of prop shaft. These marks will be used for installation reference. Remove the u-joint strap bolts at the pinion shaft yoke. Disconnect the prop shaft at the transfer case and remove prop shaft.

Bring to shop for u-joint replacement OR perform your own bench-top service and reward yourself with a cold beer. Don't get buzzed - you ain't out of the woods yet.

Installation:

Position the shaft with the yoke reference marks aligned. Install the prop shaft. Replacement u-joint straps and bolts must be installed. Tighten u-joint strap/clamp bolts at the axle yoke to 19 N.m (14 ft-lbs) torque. Tighten flange to transfer case bolts to 27 N.m (20 ft-lbs) torque. Lower vehicle. Reward yourself after the successful test drive.

so based on the video youd say it is the u joint? and not the t case mount? is it normal for the t case to move around when the car is being pushed?

Ditch the rear sway bar. It's pretty useless in the rear.

Whoa big fella! Slow it on down and take all this stuff one thing at a time. A small amount of movement of the TC is expected since it's all anchored to a rubberized mount(s). If you saw major deflection of the TC then you should inspect more closely. Just make sure it's all jacked up safely and securely. Rock the Jeep to be sure it's secure before climbing underneath and jerking things around. Unbolting the mount for inspection and/or defect isolation is not too tall a task. That could be the root cause for u-joint failure. Make sure that's okay before proceeding further, but I'm still convinced that you're in need of u-joints there.

Noise under the shifter lever could be FRONT U-joint.

It's there for a reason. It is not useless. Keep it.
